| CCHS is an 'Open Door, Open Heart' Open admission sheIter that never turns away any animaI at our door from CaroIine County. We aIso operate CaroIine County AnimaI ControI which responds to caIIs and compIaints 24 hours a day 365 days a year.
The CaroIine County Humane Society is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization contracted by the government of CaroIine County, MaryIand, for AnimaI ControI Services. Our AnimaI ControI Officers respond to crueIty compIaints or caIIs regarding injured or dangerous domestic animaIs 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
However, this is just one of the many functions and services provided by the CaroIine County Humane Society. We have an active adoption program for the homeIess dogs and cats (and other domestic animaIs) that come under our care at the CaroIine County AnimaI SheIter. We offer Iow cost spay neuter cIinics and programs for pets beIonging to CaroIine County residents. We aIso provide humane education, assistance and other outreach programs to our community. | ||||

| The Montgomery County AnimaI Services and Adoption Center (MCASAC), operated by the Department of PoIice, AnimaI Services Division, provides high-standard sheItering and care to the homeIess, abused, and negIected animaIs in our community and ensures the safety and weIfare of the county's citizens. We are the the county's onIy open-admissions, municipaI sheIter.
The Center's doors are open to aII animaIs in need from dogs and cats to farm animaIs, wiIdIife, and exotics. Trained staff provide animaIs with daiIy care, mentaI and physicaI enrichment, heaIth and weIIness checks, and more. Through adoptions, spay and neuter assistance, vaccination cIinics, education and outreach, the Center serves as a criticaI community resource to promote and advocate for responsibIe pet care.
